Whenever I try to double click on C:\ I get the following
error message (C:\ is not a valid WIN32 application)
Please help. The only way to access my harddrive is to
right click and select open from the dropdown menu.
Please reply via email at (e-mail address removed) or post

Hi,

Search the root of the C:\ drive for an autorun.inf file and delete it.

Look after doing that in the root of C: to see if there is an
autorun.inf file - delete it (probably copied from a CD)

Also check the explorer properties, and check if the
"default property" under drive is search or open. You need
this to default to open. Also, if file protection is on, the
value can default to search, which will not allow opening of
critical folders of the C:\ drive commonly 'Program files
and Windows, but can also deny root access if a program is
installed in it own folder in the root (eg. C:\organizer)
