c:\ie.reg

Each time I start up my PC, this msg appears "Cannot
import c:\ie.reg: Error opening the file. There may be a
disk or file system error."
I'm guessing that something's been edited in the registry.
Anyone have a quick fix/solution?
Thank you.

Check with msconfig http://www2.whidbey.com/djdenham/Msconfig.htm which
services and processes are on startup. Try to disable services and reboot.
Possibly you can find out what is going wrong with a program.

Howdie,

Interesting. This link does here a google search for "ie.reg
group:microsoft" (without quotation marks) and will not find any hints
on my system. Only a search with "ie.reg group:*microsoft*" works here.
Hi

I would think this is an OE link resolving issue, when I click on
it from Mozilla newsreader it uses "microsoft.*" and I got a lot
of results.

If you copy/paste the line including the ".*" to the address line
in IE, does it work ok for you then (it does for me)?

Yes, it works. Now i see it. OE cuts off the link and does not include the
".*" to the link. Is this a reason to change to another Newsreder? ;-)
