C# and Access book?

Any recommendations for C# and Access? Preferably for C# 2.0.

The two rarely go together. You certainly cannot use C# inside Access to
write code (unless you write managed add-ins for Access, which, I guess, is
not of your interest). So, go buy at least two books, one for C# and one for
Access.

If you want to know is developing app that access data saved in *.mdb file,
then you do not need to know/use Access, unless you use Access as tool to
design JET database in a GUI way. Again, no one book covers both, you need
to buy at least two.

so yeah; I think that they go together just perfectly

I have not read this, so this isn't a recommendation, just a suggestion of
something that you might want to check out for yourself, but I understand
that Rick Dobson has written at least one .NET book specifically targeting
people coming to .NET from Access. I believe it was published by Microsoft
Press. I don't remember the title, but a search at the MS Press site or any
of the big on-line booksellers should turn it up.

I don't know whether he focuses on C# or VB.NET.

that is a great resource, he is one of the few people that wrote about
SQL<->Access so I highly respect him

I'll have to check it out; because I sure as hell don't see the point
in .nET but i've been writing it for about 2 years; I mainly make
console apps
