Bypass "Run Macros" Message

P

Paul S Panoff

Is there a way to bypass the message box (or alway open with macros
enabled) that appears when a workbook containing macros is opened so
that when I distribute the workbook, users do not see the warning?

Hi

Sign the workbook with your digital signature (created by selfcert.exe or by
some commercial thing). Then make your users select this signature as a
trusted source on first opening.

Hi
this warning message depens on the security settings of your users.
There shouldn't be a way to circumvent this protection

Paul,

No, you can't disable the macro warning box. If there were, all
nefarious macros would do exactly that.

To run or not run macros is a security issue, and is
determined by the user. For the message to not show up
your user must have LOW SECURITY LEVEL choosen or you must
be a TRUSTED SOURCE.

If they set macro protection to low

If they have Excel 2000 or later, you can certify your macros and if they
accept you as a trusted source, they won't get the prompt.
