Got rid of the A4 the other day...

I bought a 52 reg Volvo S60 2.0T S 180bhp in metallic blue 36k miles :)

Whoosh (thats the noise the fuel makes as its sucked at an incredible rate through the engine...!!)

Makes one hell of a noise when you press the business pedal though.

:)

And about 10 times less economical I bet! I got 600 miles to a tank of crude oil in my Audi which cost about £60 to fill up. £70 of the good stuff got me just shy of 400 miles!

Flops: I reccomend it - its a beautiful car to drive. Very refined and VERY comfortable. Believe mine has the sports suspension (standard up to 2004) so it holds the road very well. It sounds amazing too - if you ever watch traffic cops and they have the in car view of a pursuit when the cops are in a T5 and they put their foot down, you know what kind of a noise I'm on about. Very distinctive 5 cylinder noise.

The V70 is just the estate version of the S60 - all the same up front I believe. They fetch a premium over the S60's though for boot space. Saying that, the boot in the S60 is HUGE and the seats fold flat too.

Oh and I bought a D90 and 50mm prime lens :)

How odd, I've been looking at those as well though at this stage am only dreaming, have more important things to budget for.

Does the D90 use the AF-S lens series? (Where the focus mechanism is built into the lens housing rather than the camera body).

I like Volvos, had an estate, can't remember the model number but it was the older square shape, from 92 to 95. Very high mileage, the engine finally died at around 220,000 miles and it was off to the knacker's yard with it.

Flops:
One of the best kept secret feature of the Nikon D90 is its ability to accept ANY lens with the in-body focus motor. What that means is the Nikon D90 has the ability to auto-focus AF-I/AF-S lenses, which are lenses without the focus motor built-in.

Example: The Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens which does not have a build in motor had to be manually focused in the Nikon D60 or Nikon D40 - not so with the Nikon D90.

Great camera - amazing screen on it!

Got mine from Jessops - their price was very good, and the manager gave me a further discount. I got the body, 18-105mm lens, 50mm prime lens, 2x filters, 8Gb Sandisk Video SD card for £960 I think it was.

Hiya Quad,

Ha - nope! I got a 2:1 from uni so my parents paid half of the camera as my graduation present - and I took out finance for my car and part exchanged the Audi!
