When computer starts up (very slowly, I might add) an
error message comes up and says "c:\windows\bxxs5.dll
specified module could not be found". Any suggestions?

The file could be related to some thid party application. Check if you are
able to access all the programs in your program menu.

Run Msconfig and remove unnecessary application from the startup. the entry
c:\windows\bxxs5.dll should be available here. To run Msconfig (Click
Start->Run->Type Msconfig and select Startup tab)

To improve system performance,

1. Remove temporary files.
2. Run Defrag.
3. Reduce color depth of the display.
4. Add additional RAM replace Processor with higher one.
