I am considering an upgrade to FP2003, but since its been out for a couple of
years now, I wonder if a newer version will come out soon. I don't want to
upgrade now and then have a newer version come out in a few moinths. Does
anyone have any info.

There are no immediate plans for a new version of Office. At the
earliest one could come at the end of the year.

Regards Jens Peter Karlsen. Microsoft MVP - Frontpage.

newer version, yes in a couple of years or more.

FP 2003 is the "new" version for now.

The newer version probably won't be out until the latter part of 2006.

That's, okay, Pepper... we realize that after telling Susan you will
have to shoot her but the rest of us had a meeting (apparently, Susan
couldn't be there because of some sort of prior commitment) and we
believe it's worth the sacrifice... Go ahead: spill the beans!

Well, okay...here's all the info:

You'll need your decoder ring that you picked up in the meeting.

Which begs the question why MS went to naming software versions to "sorta" match the years!? They should go back to version #s, imo.

Hot diggitty! I am in the in-crowd now!!

Actually, I totally agree... I thought this since Windows 95.

Its a dumb marketing thing. Like what...98 came out in 99 or something. They want to make you feel like your behind the times? Stoopid - especially if they release late. Versions/releases are much mo' betta.

It sure would be nice to see an FP version that really respected and
used CSS, instead of inserting all the deprecated stuff in the HTML
tags.

Ever try to look at a horizontal navbar in FP 2003, when the navbar
was created using CSS? You get a VERTICAL button bar, not horizontal.

You'd think MS Frontpage would at least use the ubiquitous IE engine
to render HTML in the "preview" mode, but not even there. So, if it
looks good in IE, it won't necessarily look good in FP.
