Hi,

I was wondering if someone would be able to clear up a few queries I
have regarding the above software. I have read loads of differing
reports, and not that different feature have been brought in on
different versions.

What I need to know is:

Does the latest version of Outlook 2003 BCM have the capability to
share a single BCM database, located on a Windows 2003 server, with
multiple users?

And can you use BCM in an Exchange Outlook profile?

If not, does BCM for Outlook 2007 have these features, or is it a
completely stand alone peice of software?

All your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Gary,

Now I'm not positive about this, but given Microsoft's marketing
strategy with regards to BCM, I think my answers are probably right.

In short: No. No. Yes.

BCM is really intended for the VERY small business. Think businesses
with 1-5 machines, where the users are pretty much independent of each
other. For that reason, MS doesn't make the product capable of such
"advanced" features such as real data collaboration with a workgroup. If
you want those features, MS wants you to buy MS Dynamics CRM for Small
Business, which integrates (sort of) with Outlook, uses a back-end
SQL-Server database, stored on your server, and enables a lot more
collaboration and sharing between users. But it's price-tag is
considerably higher than BCM's.

Hope this helps,
