What you posted is conflicting. Your first post said:
"Normally my bus speed runs the same speed as my processor speed. When
i plug in my speed slows to 1/4 to 1/2 the processor speed. When i run
back to battery only it speed back up. What is wrong? and How do i
fix it?"
Your other post said:
"Im talking about the speed it shows on general tab of the system
properties right in front of the memory...that is the one that changes
ie: it will read 209 mhz with my laptop plugged in and on battery
power will read 1.7 ghz (which is the speed of my processor."
In this last post, you must have made a typo because no modern processor
is running at "209 mhz". It must have said "2.09GHz" which is the speed
of your processor. Then you said that on battery the speed is "1.7 ghz"
which must mean 1.7GHz and is the slower speed throttled down.
So your posts don't make sense. And what you're referring to is not "bus
speed" anyway; it is processor speed. You are either reading something
incorrectly or there is the possibility that the charger on the
motherboard is faulty. If the latter, contact the laptop mftr. for
replacement of the motherboard.
