I am trying to burn my projects using Studio 8 for the DVD burning.
Projects have been saved as avi files. I get the following error: This
file was not compressed with " DV video Encoder" so it can not be output
to tape. I normally use MyDvd to burn and have no problems. Trying to
see if there is any increase in quality with Studio 8. Any ideas???

Bill

Studio 8 needs type II DV-AVI files and MM2 creates type I..... see the
Setup > Software page of my site for links to a couple free conversion
utilities. The last paragraph of the Utilities section.

Thanks PapaJohn, I will check it out. Do you think there is any
advantage in quality in doing this??
Bill

I don't know. I use MyDVD to burn discs and never tried it with Studio 8.

From what I read, the best quality would be by using TMPGEnc to make the
MPEG2 files rather than using MyDVD or Studio.
