Burning to sonic 5.3

-Have being using wmm to capture , edit etc from sony camcorder. Have created
a movie gone to file -> save movie file-> My computer -> Next
in movie setting screen clicked on DV-AVI(pal)
saved movie to local disc c.
-when I send to record now delux version 7 , it comes up as a data disc
which will not play in Dvd player
-If I go to record now delux -> "creat a disc from an image already on your
hard drive"-> Browse-> my computer-> local disc c , It shows everything but
the saved video clip
-Would be very grateful for some help

You need to create a DVD project... if you have that option in your DVD
software.... if you don't have the option, then you need other software. See
the DVD Software section of www.papajohn.org for some of the software being
used.

Most offer free trial versions...

just used MyDvd delux v5.3 to burn small project

opened -> create or modify a dvd project then draged clip in
worked well but quality T.V. not great

Ian,

What format did you capture your video? If you are saving to DV-AVI, you
should capture as DV-AVI. If you captured at lower quality, saving it to
DV-AVI can't improve the quality.

Using a Sony Digital Video Camera(DCR-PC101E). Video Capture Wizard is
recognizing this in "Available devices"

Ian,

We'll have to assume you are using USB to import. Since your quality upon
import is going to be lower, then your final DVD will not look too great. Go
out and get a firwire card and cable and import as DV-AVI (about $30-35 US).
Its well worth the investment. You cannot capture as DV-AVI without using
firewire. Capturing as DV-AVI there is negligible loss. Then if you do any
edits in MM, Save movie as DV-AVI then burn with MyDVD. I have a Sony TRV-460
and used the USB cable at the beginning and it worked OK and I liked the
webcam feature. But once i got the firewire going there has been no turning
back.

Sorry Steve , Just after I posted I had to unplug Modem AND realised I had
Left firewire in back of computer for ease of access and forgot all about it
as have'nt used in a while .This has my head wrecked last two days ! Can't
believe I forgot about it !! Thanks for the reply
