Hello,
I recently scanned 50+ pictures on my pc and saved them
all as .tif files. I gave them to the person that needs
them and when they put the cd in their mac it can't see
the files. I used Roxio's DirectCD format utility to
prepare the cd for drag and drop. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Your mistake was using the Roxio DirectCD format utility. This is NOT
necessary! Use a fresh unformatted CDR and burn the photos to it
like you're making a data disk. Put the CDR in the Mac and away you
go.....
