Burner - bad?

Is my CD burner bad in my computer? Almost everytime that I go to start
burning, my computer will freeze up... since the beginning of the problem,
I've reinstalled XP many times, replaced the CPU, replaced the memory, etc.
etc. However, I've had my burner since day one. When the computer freezes
up, the burner will not eject, but the DVD drive still has no problems
ejecting. Is it time to say bye-bye birdy?

Hi Travis,

Swap the drive to test. In the meantime:

Go to Start/Run/Msinfo32/Hardware Resources, Components/Problem Devices and
Software Environment/Windows Error Reporting.

Go to Help and Support/Pick a Task (left side)/Use Tools to view.../(left
pane)My Computer Information/(right pane)View the status of my system
hardware and software/Hardware/Update and Troubleshooters.
