bullets keep changing

Powerpoint 2003 w/XP operating system...the bullets on certain pages continue
to default back to a pointing finger instead of round bullet. I keep changing
them and saving only to reopen and find the pointing finger bullet
again...and it is only on certain slides not all of them.

HELP!
 
In other words, PowerPoint keeps giving you the finger. Sorry, couldn't
resist.
 
Do the changes again (to your desired bullets)
Then, turn off fast saves.
Click Tools > Options > Save.
Uncheck "Allow fast saves".
Click OK.
Click File > Save As.
Save it under a new filename.
See if it works this time round.
