Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-011
Flaw in Microsoft VM Could Enable System Compromise (816093)

The Bulletin says:

If you're using any of the following versions of Windows, you definitely
have the Microsoft VM installed:

.. Microsoft Windows XP

However, when you type Jview from a command pompt you get 'jview' is not
recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch
file.

Does this mean that VM is not installed and the computer is not vulnerable
to this Bulletin?

Thanks

Hi

That means that Microsoft Java VM is not installed.

Windows XP Gold, SP1a and SP2 does not install MS JVM as default,
only Windows SP1 (without the a) does that.

Thanks,

So... Does that mean it is not open to that vulnerablility??
Hi

As you need to have MS JVM installed to be open to this
vulnerability, it means that your computer is not vulnerable.
