Building Another budged PC Thoughts?

I built a PC for one set of cousins and they're very happy. Now the
others are jumping on the boat. But these people want to go even less
than $600. Maybe around $300. This is what I have so far.

My question is, should I go with what I have or make some changes?
They're not gamers, and I don't see them doing any real high end stuff
on here. Maybe some kids software - and MS Office. The only thing
I'm missing is the case and power supply. What would you suggest?
Also, I don't want to go with on board video. I'm a traditionalist.

How about one of the two most popular AMD boards from newegg:

Shuttle "AN35N-Ultra" nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset Motherboard for AMD
Socket A CPU -RETAIL
$54 shipped

or

BIOSTAR "M7NCD PRO" nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket
A CPU -RETAIL
$65 shipped

and

Their most popular AMD processor:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton", 333 FSB, 512K Cache Processor - Retail
$80 shipped from newegg. The Barton's bigger cache beats the 2100+.

Antec SLK3700 w/350W is the best value in cases if you don't mind that
it is somewhat cavernous. Check prices at pricegrabber, newegg, mwave,
and accupc. See also the SLK2600 if you want a more compact one.

So you can get a very solid foundation of mobo, cpu, case, psu for about
$200 shipped.

Consider Fedora, Mandrake, or SuSE Linux for a free and legal OS.

Commonly less than $100 after rebate at officemax etc.

Check university surplus outlets for used ones.

This week, Best Buy has a deal on a 17 inch MAG CRT that I own. I think
that it's around 70 bucks. It's been great for me, no complaints.
