Ok, I still havent got my psu yet, and I decided to try the 300 watt unit
that came with the case
is that not enough juice to power the AMD XP 3000+ 333fsb?
initally I had all devices hooked up.
the CD Rom flashes happily, and I can hear the HDD spin up
the floppy I think might be defective, it gives no lite or a steady lite
depending on which way I hook up the cable
the ABIT NF7-S mobo has a power lite, and a power on lite, both shine. I
feel certin the front panel connectors are correct. I did disable the wake
up features.
I have the HDD set to no setting and attached to the master ide cable on
IDE1 on the mobo.
the manual suggests putting my first dimm in the #3 spot being a single
512mb unit
I get no signal to the monitor through the agp ATI RADEON 7000 64MB DUAL
HEAD at any time. It is a dual head is there a main port I should connect
to or either one should work?
I feel fairly sure I installed the mobo, processor, cooler, and swith/led
wiring correctly
do I have to have anything but the power switch connected and the pc speaker
connected to test?
I have disconnected just about everything but the front panel leds and the
reset switch
I can't see where I might of gone wrong
properly built a system should go to BIOS when plugged in and attached to
only a KB and MON right?
thanks!!!!!
