Bug in Outlook 2003 command line...

R

Richard Shakour

The following command line produces a message that states:

Invalid command line argument...

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\outlook.exe" /c
IPM.Note /a C:\config.sys /m "(e-mail address removed)"

There is nothing wrong with this command line. It should
work.

Actually, if you remove the /m switch, it works. Or, if
you remove the /a switch and leave the /m switch it also
works.

According to the help file:

/m emailname
Provides a way for the user to add an e-mail name to the item. Only works in
conjunction with the /c command-line parameter.

Example:

a.. Outlook.exe /c ipm.note /m emailname
I tried several variations, but it appears /a only likes one other relevant
switch, like /c.
