[BUG?] IE change file extension during download

D

Dario de Judicibus

I have several files in my site whose extension is PKG. They are
zip-compressed files that are used by an application of mine. When my users
download them by IE, the browser RENAME the extension to ZIP!!!!!!
The file is no more usable by the application and I have to ask my users to
rename back it to PKG. How to prevent such curious behaviour?

Dunno but you might want this link as this is not really Microsoft but
rather it's just a bunch of us end-users helping each other.
