aero remains permanently disabled after you use a particular winsat command:
1. open a cmd prompt
2. type this command:
winsat dwm -normalw 10 -glassw 4 -time 10 -v -fullscreen
(The following example runs the DWM assessment with 10 normal windows and 4
glass windows for 10 seconds, writing verbose output and running in full
screen mode.)
the bug:
AFTER the test, Aero remains PERMANENTLY disabled, and it cannot be
reactivated, restarting windows does not restore Aero. To restore Aero you
have to update the PC's score in Control Panel.
