BT Broadband wireless WINXP + MAC - is it possible?

P

Peter Gifford

Hi there. We have TWO winxp machines (my laptop and my
wife's desktop) using BT Wireless broadband. The printer
is hooked to my wife's desktop and I can print happily
from my laptop through the desktop to the printer. Now,
our son is a muisc student and has a MAC laptop
(Powerbook g4 OSx) which he needs for his
college/university work. We can link quite happily to
each other but we cannot find a way to get him to access
the printer. Any ideas anyone? Thanks for your help.
Best regards - Peter Gifford

What is the error message?

Check the permissions on the the XP box holding the printer to ensure
your son's machine is authorised.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "link"? Means that the Mac has
access to Internet? Or means mac has access to the XP file system?

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
