BSOD

Using Windows XP Home. Recently my computer has turned itself off (I think)
and I end up with a BSOD, which among other things, says,
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

What does this mean and how do I correct the "problem"? I have not changed
any hardware during the last few months.

Thanks

Further to my original message - when the computer then completes a Disk
Check everything is ok.
