I think I may have misinterpreted one of your earlier posts.

This is the paragraph which I have difficulty with:

"few days ago i just run windebug after installing all symbols. though
it
shows a probable faulty device but it doesn't seems to be 100%
correct. the
file reported there is vsdatant.sys ... a part of zonealarm firewall.
but by
pc showed similer error when it is not installed."

What is the version of Zone Alarm installed on your machine?

Hope this helps.

As you say you have the latest version of Zone Alarm.

Are all the versions of vsdatant.sys on your computer the same and in
places where you would expect them to be?

Are there any Error / Warning Reports in Event Viewer?

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308427&Product=winxp

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error
Report complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the
first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties. Hardware,
Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.

Hope this helps.

A lot of the unloaded modules in the memory dump relate to the audio
system. Are you listening to or playing music when this crashes occur?

Do you have any Daemon Tools software installed?

You mentioned earlier a Windows XP OEM CD. Does this CD have the SP2
update on it or was this otherwise installed by download from
Microsoft or from an SP2 Update CD distributed freely by Microsoft?

Hope this helps.

Your latest post caused me to try another Google search and it threw
up this long tortuous thread:
http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=106347

This thread is from a Gaming Forum and this needs to be borne in mind.

What Sound Card do you have? Make and model?

This freeware programme is excellent for getting information about
your computer:
Everest Home Edition (freeware)
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

Tip: To copy select Report, Quick Report, Plain Text, highlight
required text, right click and select copy. However, whilst this is
fine for posting small amounts of information into newsgroup messages
longer reports will irritate other newsgroup subscribers.

What is the status of Data Execution Prevention on your machine?

A detailed description of the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature
in Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, and
Windows Server 2003

Is your computer standalone or networked?

Gerry!

No ... i generally don't listen music here! .... the crash occures
suddenly .. at any point of time ... like just after boot, while
starting some service, while starting some app like IE7 ... i mean
anything. However I watch videos sometime & encode too! Haven't yet
faced any problem during encoding yet!

No Daemon Tools software is installed! I don't play games in this
pc!

the Win XP CD came with Sp2

However, after disabling hyperthreading till date no problem
occured!

Oh! thats big thread Gerry! unfortunately i use the motherboard intigrated
graphics card ... Intel 945G express chipset family. Well, I'll again try
uninstalling the driver, installing standard VGA driver and then installing
the actual driver.

Same for sound card, it is also intigrated!

Well the generated report is too big to fit here! gime ur email id .. i'll
send u

DEP is on for essencial windows progs

My pc is in Network, I'm not in domain but in workgroup .. say with around
25 PCs, rest few r in domain. again NIC in onboard and it has latest
available driver.

You can save Everest Reports and open them using Notepad. This enables
you to select parts of the Report for pasting into messages.

Turn off DEP and see what affect this has on the BSOD errors. The
options are in Article 875352 posted earlier.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352

That your computer is part of a network is another aspect to consider
when trying to diagnose your problem.

You posted the Error Report from Event Viewer relating to the BSOD
error earlier. Are there any other Warning or Error Reports appearing
in the System and Application logs in the period immeduately before or
after a BSOD error occurs?

Hope this helps.
