BSOD - annoying crash problem

Got a few compaq machines (xpsp1) which have taken to randomly blue
screening.

I checked Event Viewer for a look at the error code but couldn't find it
online anywhere. Does anyone know what this means?

Error Code 00000044, parameter1 81c9b008, parameter2 00000d61 parameter3
00000000, parameter4 00000000

Any help would be appreciated.
