Browsing Domain

Hi

I have 4 Windows 2000 Servers, and a few hundred XP machines all in one Domain.

When I try to browse the Network on my XP machines in My Network Places, I can see my Domain, but I can't see any of my XP machines. I get this error "Domain Name is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.". But if I try to map drives to any computer in my Domain, I have no problem.

Out of my 4 Windows 2000 Servers, only 1 can see all the XP machines in the Domain. All the others have this error " Domain name is not accessible.
Why can I see all my XP machines on only 1 server?
I can't see my XP machine on 3 servers, bu I can map drives to any of them with no problem

Here is what I tried on 1 test XP machine
I tried disabling the Computer Browser Servic
I made sure that file & printer sharing was enabled
change the registry key isdomain master to n

Should I disable the Computer Browser service on the only Windows 2000 Server that can see all the XP machines

Thanks.

How do I know I have a browser problem

When you open My Network Places, the computer list you see is obtaining from
the master browser of your network. You have a master browser issue if you
have the following symptoms. 1) If you can ping a computer name, you can
search it, you can map it, but that computer doesn't show or take long time
to show up on My Network Places.
2) Net view command shows no lists or shows "System error 6118 has occurred.
The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available".
3) when clicking on Computers Near Me in My Network Places or workgroup name
in Entire Network, the following error message may appear: "Cannot Access
'Computers Near Me' " or "Workgroup is not accessible" errors.
4) when click workgroup name under Entire Network Places, you get "Workgroup
is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permission. The list server for this workgroup is not currently
available."
5) Windows Explorer or My Network Places take a long time to open.
6) Event logs on servers show many master browser election messages.
