I have a Dell Pentium 3.

Ofton, when I dial my internet connection, my internet browser does
not load and I get the message "This page cannot be displayed". My
modem is running only at 45,333 bps most of the time. It took me four
attempts to access this site today.

I recently spent the whole day reloading windows me and all needed
updates. Still the problem persists.

Has anybody else had the same problem and what is solution, besides
scrapping computer?

Thanks

Roger

Open the Internet Options applet in Control Panel
Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions" on the Advanced tab.
You may also have to set the Home Page to about:blank

Then eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Problem resolved.

It was only a wrong tick on a item in MSE tools under connection. It
took about five calls to my internet provider support staff, who
finally located problem.
This was a ongoing problem for atleast one year.

Thanks.

Roger
