seems that more statistically (and measurably) accurate test can be done if page-loads
are measured cumulatively.

maxthon saves tab groups, when closing and/or starting it asks about using open tabs at
next startup.
firefox can save open tabs as the 'home page" (so wil sartup with thosetabs if browser set
to startup with "home page")

could do a similar test for loading group after browser has finished starting up, and sits
with a (blank?) page.

however time used for simultaneous loads might still not be equivalent to time used for
"manual" sequential loads.

Yes, that would be a good test.

This is totally flexible.

Maxthon can be set to open your favorite home page, or to open a certain
group at startup. It can also be set to not ask or confirm.

This can also be done with Maxthon.
