Browser problem

Am getting following notation when trying to intall a Dell drivers and
utilities disk,
"Unsupported Browser Detected".
Can anyone tell me what this means and how to correct it.

What browser r u using and type of driver you are installing.

There are times that something like that will come up if you are missing a
necessary component that the installer needs for that specific item; i.e.
maybe there is a plugin etc such as flash or java that the driver or utility
may need. cant say for specific unless i know the browser and other info.

you can always try:

start>run>msconfig and select the boot.ini tab, check safe boot the select
the radio buttom next to it that says dsrepair, then ok and reboot, many
times things just get resolved in dsrepair mode, and unlike the normal safe
boot you can installed apps, drivers etc, and uninstall items.
