Using windows xp and ie6, I suddenly get either "website not found" or it
just never goes to the website I can open my home page (adelphia.net) and a
few other sites but I can't use google, or the vast majority of websites. I
tried upgrading to IE7 and I tried netscape navigator, with the same results.
For examle, I can get to microsoft.com, amazon.com, dell.com, but not
google, not consummerreports.com, and not most other sites. Please help.

Valerie,

Is that today, or for a while? There was a major Internet problem today (DNS
infrastructure nationwide), and I believe that Adelphia was involved. The
inconsistent website accessibility that you report is consistent with that.

If it's been happening for a while, look at your DNS, and then MTU, setups.
