Broadband settings

How do I alter the settings in Outlook and Outlook Express so that I can
receive my email (Internet works fine)? I have tried tools.. services...
properties...connection...connect using LAN, but still get the message
"connection could not be established because the modem was not found or was
busy". No error number given. Help, please.

Have you checked Accounts settings?

Thanks DL. I am almost ashamed of the answer, although to be fair it was not
written anywhere that all other telephones in the house should be connected
via a microfilter before broadband would work!

Must be DSL, then. Certainly it was spelled out very clearly when I had DSl
installed, but perhaps your provider was less explicit.
