I have broadband installed on my PC. Is it also possible to use a modem on
the same PC for FAX messages. I am unsure whether if I tried to activate my
modem which was preinstalled on the machine for FAX use I would damage my
broadband connection.

Yes, you can do this. The DSL is connected to the NIC (Network Interface
Card) and the Modem is a separate add-in card or an external modem. The
Modem connection will tie up your regular telephone line while it is in use.

Thanks for the advice. The modem works fine both for internet and fax.

I was just a bit worried about upsetting the broadband.

Thanks
