Bringing up 2003 DC's

We are planning our upgrade path from 2000 to 2003, and are planning on
putting our two main DC'son new hardware. By bringing up the two new DC's
with 2003, and transferring FSMO roles from the current 2000 servers, are
there any potential problems aside from the standard issues that can derive
from bringing up 2003 DC's? Or is it recommended to bring up the new
hardware with 2000, transfer roles, and then upgrade the new hardware to
2003?

I suggest running a forest and domain prep on the existing Domain,
then join the two new 2003 servers to the domain and dcpromo them,
then when its all replicated across, then move the FSMO roles across,
then only when totally happy (leave for 24hrs), dcpromo the old
servers to remove AD.

Is DNS on the old servers as well? If so, then make sure at least one
of the new servers has DNS as well.
