Briefcase Panic!!

My most recent breifcase synchronization deleted many many
files from my desktop and laptop! I don't know how,
exactly. Is there any way to undo the synchro? The deleted
files are not in my recycle bin. They're nowhere to be
found. I've have had no problems in the last ~1 year with
this feature and it had been making me so very happy,
because if its convenience. Now I am in a panic.

If anyone can help, I'll be eternally grateful.

Replace them from your last backup.
