I'm running XP pro on an HP desktop. I don't use the welcome screen, just
the classic NT logon dialog. The background image before logon a the HP
invent embossed image.
I would like to change this for my own image. I have tried changing the .bmp
file in %systemroot% as there are three images of different sizes (680, 1024
and 1280). My monitor preferences are for 1024 so I modified this image.
Didn't work.
Any idea where these images are loaded from?

The HP image is proprietary and stored in the BIOS.
I don't believe you can easily change it. Perhaps the
