boxes with red x instead of graphics

Please help- when even going to the Microsoft download
page, instead of seeing the buttons to click on, all I see
is those boxes. I've tried the register edit, and it
didn't help. Any info would be greatly appreciated! J.
 
Do a find for a file named "hosts", no extension. Rename it. If no joy,
check for these two registry keys, delete
them.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\ftp]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\http]
