Hardware Heaven have reviewed the Boxee Box by D-Link, but is the software up to the job?

"Boxee is marketed as "a new way to think about TV" and is essentially an interface that combines with hardware to create a fully functional, standalone media player/streamer. Today we will be reviewing the Boxee Box (DSM-380) by D-Link which is a set-top box developed in co-operation with D-Link.

With a Boxee Box connected to a TV we are able to watch any TV show from the Internet, and films from services like Netflix, VUDU, and MUBI. Boxee automatically delivers video recommendations from our friends on Facebook and Twitter to the TV and enables us share with them from the click of the remote. As well teaming up with hardware manufacturers Boxee INC. also allows us to download the Boxee software for free. Boxee runs on Mac OS X (Tiger 10.4, Leopard 10.5, and Snow Leopard 10.6), Linux Ubuntu (9.04 Jaunty Jackalope, 9.10 Karmic Koala) and Windows (XP, Vista, 7)."
