box to mark (check) in Word 07

I want to add a checkbox to Word 07 document. Don't know what info path is
nor what the dropdown pane that has been mentioned is or where it is located.

Probably the easiest method to add a checkmark to Word is to use the
Symbols. (Located on the Insert tab) Search the Wingdings fonts.

If you want the ability to check and uncheck the box, then you should be
able to utilize this method.
