Bought new computer - how to move printer and email settings

I just purchased a new computer, running Windows XP, same operating system
as my old computer. I would like to copy my email (Ourlook 2003) setting and
my printer settings to my new system. Both email and printers will be
completely unchanged. How can I copy my email and printer settings to my new
system?

For OE see this excellent site:

You could use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (FAST). Here is a link
with info on how to use it.

Whether that will migrate the printer settings I'm not sure. Don't discard
the old system and data until what you need to move has been moved
successfully.

There is an outlook express newsgroup.

You can go to Windows Explorer>my computer>your primary drive (mine is C).
listed under your drive will be the folder for your printer. Right click
over the printer folder>send to>and select a device you can send the folder
such as cd/dvd, zip, or an external hard drive, etc. Now use that CD/Dvd (or
whatever) to install the folder in your new computer. You will want to drag
& drop the folder from the CD to the EXACT location in your new computer
(windows explorer>my computer>primary drive).

Now you will have to find the set-up or install link in the folder to
install the program in your new computer. I have done this with a printer
and other software that then operated exactly as when it was on the other
computer. However, this did take me many many hours to learn by trial and
error. Hope I didn't leave out a step but that is how memory serves me.

Your Outlook e-mail & email programs are located using this path in Windows
Explorer: Primary drive (mine is C)>documents & settings>owner (or a name
you gave your computer)>local settings>application data>Microsoft>outlook.

Now in the right window are the e-mail & programs. Cover them, right click
and send them to the device mentioned above.

Again you must drag & drop them from the CD (or whatever) EXACTLY in the
same location you removed them from the old computer (path above) to that
same location in your new computer. Again this took me many hours of trial
and error.

Good luck
