Border around list box even when set to transparent

Hello,

I have a report with a list box. The list box's border properties are set
to transparent but a border still prints. Microsoft lists this as a bug
(PSS ID Number: 304527) but do not have a workaround.

I'm am a little obsessive-compulsive so I really need to get rid of that
border. I hope someone can recommend a workaround so that I do not have to
see a psychiatrist.

Thanks

How about setting the border color to white "16777215".
This is asuming your paper is white.
It is not compulsive, I think it looks better also.
Hope this helps.

Tried that already and it does not work. I also tried putting a box over
the list. The box had a transparent background and a solid border (2 pt
thickness). The box was moved to the front as well. That did not work
either. I even put a solid box over the entire list box and the border
still shows up!

Perhaps it will work if I insert a subform instead of a straight list box.

I would like to find out why yours does not work. I have
done it here and setting the border color to white remove
every trace of the border I had here, did you possibly set
some of the other format possibilities to like shadow or
some other formats?

Well since you said that it worked for you I investigated further. Even
though I use Access 2002, the database itself was still in 2000 format. I
converted to 2002 and now it works fine in Print Preview. Unfortunately,
printing the report puts a border around the list box.

Sorry, changing to 2002 format did not make a difference. The border does
not show up when previewing the report in "fit" zoom mode. Changing to
"100%" and the border re-appears.

Sorry, I checked it out further and mine does not hide
either. I gues the subreport is the best option.
Sorry.
