Okay so I had Ubuntu Linux installed on the PC. Wanting to reinstall
XP. Had some boot loader problems. I think i resolved those issues.
I had to do so by using 6 winxp boot floppies to get to the recovery
console because MY WINXP CD WILL NOT BOOT. I ran the recovery console
and ran fixmbr and fixboot. I restarted. I am no longer experiencing
the mbr issues or the 'missing ntldr' issues. I just cannot get the
genuine winxp to boot to install it. I tried using the 6 floppies but
it ends up telling me that it cannot find the end user agreement and
it closes. I put in another bootable cd (ubuntu) and it boots to that
cd no problem. I am about to go insane. Can someone please assist me
with this. Thanks in advanced.

If the CD won't boot, it's damaged. As long as you own a Product Key, the
seller (MS or the OEM) will sell a new copy fairly cheap.

REPLACEMENT MS CDs - 800-360-7561 - - REPLACEMENT PRODUCT KEY- 1 800 426
9400 - - OEM CDs that are out of business - 1 800 325 1233

Also - contrary to common belief - all XP CDs were not bootable - in
particular upgrade CDs (Which is why the floppies were initally provided for
XP and Win 2000).

As an option consider copying the XP CD to the HD and running setup from the
HD.

Another consideration - there are burn programs that will do the following:
XP CD>iso.image>bootable XP CD
