Booting from the D: drive

My laptop does not have a floppy disk drive, but has a CD-rom drive. And I'm
trying to change the boot order so the computer checks the D: drive first for
instructions instead of the of the A: drive then C: drive and THEN D: drive.
So does anyone have any idea on how I could change the BIOS settings, boot-up
settings, or whatever you want to call them so the computer tries booting
from the D: drive before the C: drive?

Derrick, you will need to go into the bios and change the boot order where
the CDROM boots first, then a: drive and then c: drive.

If your asking how do you enter the bios, this can vary by PC, generally
keying DEL on booting is one key combo.

Identify the hot key needed to enter the BIOS setup when hit during the
initial power up. Often Del, but also may be F2 or another F key or
even Insert - consult the manual. If you hit things at random, you may
well get 'Hit x to enter Setup'

There it may be one of two places:
BIOS Settings page - look down (down arrow key) for Boot Order, cycle
it round with Pagedn key to CDRom, C

Boot Page - use down arrow to get to the CD, then numeric pad + to push
it to the top; select the floppy and numeric pad - to push it down

Either way then hit ESC, go to Exit and Exit, Saving settings (Y to
confirm probably)
