After I created my recovery discs, a box came up like as if it wanted me to
insert CD, not DVD. I closed the box and it said, Bootable Diagnostic CD
creation was aborted. Anybody have any idea what this is all about? Before
the creation was aborted, a box came up and said Recovery discs created
successfully.

Hi,

It was something being done by your system manufacturer, you'd have to ask
them for more details.

Contact the tech support for the computer or check the documentation. It's
not native to Vista so it's something the computer vendor installed.

If this is a HP computer, you can create two sets of disks:
One (3 DVDs) for restoring the factory setup
One (one separate bootable CD) that includes diagnostic tools. There should be a HP item in your All Programs to create the bootable diagnostic CD.

I think you replied to the wrong party. I'm not the one with the question.
