After working on an hp scanner problem with hp tech
support, my computer has started locking up during boot.
It now stops with message "floppy disks fail (40). It
gives me the option of continuing by clicking F1. Does
anyone know what I can do about it?

You could run scandisk to c if u have developed a hard
disk error. If I R an advanced user u could also open
ure computer and chk and c if your floppy drive has wires
connected 2 that r loose. Also, If u have norton system
works u can run a one step windows complete chkup. If u
dont have it I highly recommend it. I dont support
piracy but there is a copy of it on the kazza and
grokster network available 4 download. Or u can download
a copy 4 about 50 dollars at the www.norton.com website.
