Boot slowdown due to Norton Antivirus 2003

Hi!

I've experienced a huge slowdown at booting XP after installing Norton
Antivirus 2003 over 2002. Desktop appears immediately (20sec) but is
unusable for 2 - 3 min, that means it takes an additional time 'till a
clicked program starts up e.g.
I figured out that a Symantec module called "ccEvtMgr" causes this slowdown,
because in the event log there's a delay of approx. 120 sec after starting
this service before the next service in the boot order is carried out.
NAV 2002 didn't have this behaviour...

Any clues?
