Boot/shutdown times

Hello, I am investigating methods of measuring boot and shutdown times of
systems in an enterprise environment and reporting those metrics back like in
SMS. I am famaliar with Bootvis. Something like Bootvis that could report
back to a central database would be along the lines of what we're looking
for. If not for the global population, then for a representative sample
group. I am not familiar with any such tools for measuring the shutdown
process but we are looking for something similar for that. Obviously Bootvis
is no longer developed or supported by MS .. perhaps if we knew what "hooks"
in the OS Bootvis is utilizing to display its metrics, that would be a start.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest you to monitor the file that bootvis creates... It contains
the necessary information. Using scripts you can exclude what you don't want
in the sms and then send it. Hope it helps.

As far as i know there aren't any know programs that do what you request...
