What kind of removable HDD do you have? Caddy, USB, what?
If USB or firewire, is your BIOS set to boot from an external device?
Assuming the drive is partitioned, and has an OS installed, is the correct
partition active?

If those suggestions don't help, please post back with more details - you
haven't supplied enough for a delimitative answer this time.

Sometimes I just feel altruistic. Also, i think that sometimes the posters
don't realise/know enough to know that more information might be needed to
answer their question, and need a little push to get them thinking.
