Boot floppy

I tried to create a boot to DOS floppy in Windows XP
through My Computer/Highlight A-Drive/Format/Crearte DOS
boot disk. My computer will not boot to the floppy
(Invalid System Disk). Does something else need to be
done? Is there another way to boot to DOS in an XP machine,
Thanks.

If your operating system is formatted with the normal NTFS, then the
answer is "no". Unless you have a FAT32 or extra DOS partition set up,
there is no DOS in XP. Your XP cd is bootable; however. Maybe if you
will tell us the problem that makes you want to boot to DOS we can help
you with that instead.

Your floppy drive may be dirty. The disk you used may be bad. Always use
a brand new disk for creating bootdisks.

It doesn't matter what OS you got on your hard drive. A dos bootdisk
boots to dos. And you're running dos after booting with it. It doesnt
care what's on the hard drive.
