boot failure:system halted

Hey Guys I tried to turn my computer on and all it says is
boot failure system halted. How do I get around this
problem? thanx.
 
Sounds like the BIOS message that your hard drive has died. If you are
not familiar with computer hardware you may want to take it to someone
who is.
