Boot Error ?

Win XP sp3
When I boot my system I get error -- Windows/System32/Config/System ... I
was wondering If I put the drive into a exterior case and connected it to my
Vista Laptop system where can I find my email addresses and my Favorites
before I reconfigure XP on the drive?
I don't have a Repair on my XP disk since it's a school disk.

Outlook Express? Incredimail? Other?

How can you reconfigure the system without having a WinXP CD?

That's a file name, not an error. What's the actual error? Does the

Without knowing what specific application you use as an email client,
and how you may have customized it, there's no way to answer that question.

Assuming that you're using Internet Explorer as your browser,
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Favorites. Other browsers use other
locations.

I don't have a Repair on my XP disk since it's a school disk.

That doesn't make sense, I'm afraid. If it's a legitimate installation
CD, it has the capability of performing a repair installation.

Thats all it says when I try to boot up windows. The following file is
missing or corrupt Windows/System32/Config/System...

The file you're missing is the System hive of your registry. You might be
able to restore it with a manual System Restore - see here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545. This is a fairly complex process
that might require the assistance of a computer-savvy friend.

Best to check an Outlook Express newsgroup about your OE question.

I reloaded XP Pro OEM cd onto my HD about 3 weeks ago and the same thing
just happened again. This is the 3rd time that this has happened this year,
Could it be the OEM XP Pro cd causing this problem? It dosen't have the
Repair option on the CD so I have to reload XP and they are tired of me
activating XP 3 times allready.
I can just buy a new XP Pro cd if you think this is the problem.
