Hi There,
I have a user who needs his computer to boot directly into a running
application. The OS is WinXP, of course, SP2. Specifically, when the
machine is turned on, he wants it to be completely black until an exe file
launches. He doesn't want to see any of the boot screens, no Bios
screen...no Welcome screen or desktop. Just black until this exe file runs.
(Which starts a media type file, btw.) (Like turning on a TV.)
So, I went into the BIOS and the option was there to either not show the
BIOS Maker logo but have the standard initial BIOS screen or vice versa, so I
have it vice versa, but want to know if there is a way to have it not even
show the Maker's screen. Then, I have selected the "noguiboot" option so
that the remainder of the boot remains black until the blue Windows Welcome
screen appears. (One user account, so the Welcome screen just shows briefly
and then goes to the desktop.) Then, I put the exe file in the startup
folder, so that the desktop loads briefly and then the exe file runs.
So - at this point, I still need to get rid of -
1.) The BIOS Makers Screen
2.) The blue Welcome screen and
3.) The brief desktop loading from being shown.
Is this in any way possible?!?!?! Thank you.
